The thought of a boudoir photography session can be scary. When talking to women about their session, I get asked all kinds of questions. I wanted to compile a list of my 12 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!
Do you share my images?
We 100% respect your privacy and will never share your images unless we have written permission from you to do so. Often we find that once you view your photos and see how amazing you look, you are excited to have us share some of them. Making sure our clients are comfortable is our top priority. Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these photos are specifically for your partner and aren’t for anyone else’s eyes. These are all great reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on your personal preferences!
Do I have to wear lingerie?
Sexy comes in all forms. You don’t need to wear lingerie to do a boudoir shoot. You may feel sexy in an off the shoulder sweater, your partner’s favorite jersey, a beautiful robe or draped only in a sheet. It’s up to you decide what makes you feel empowered and beautiful.
Where should I buy outfits?
There are a few places to buy outfits from and it depends on what you are getting and the style of your shoot! Amazon, Hips and Curves, Victoria’s Secret, Torrid, Yandy, Honey Birdette, Shein, Fashion Nova, Savage Fenty, Playful Promises, Thistle and Spire offer a great variety of styles in different sizes. If you are looking for something specific that you can’t find, let me know and I might know where to get it!
How many outfits should I bring?
We can usually shoot 4-5 different outfits during your 2-hour photo shoot. Feel free to bring as many things as you’d like and we can help you pick and choose the outfits that will work the best. We aim to shoot a variety of looks and we do have a small wardrobe closet of lingerie ranging in size from XS-6X for you to use as well.
Do you have payment plans?
Yes, we do! Pre-session payment plans are offered before your session date. Our clients love the convenience of pre-paying prior to their shoot date plus they can earn special rewards & free bonuses for taking advantage of this exclusive offer. Some of our clients choose the option to pay for their collection over time in advance of their session. We are happy to discuss all of our payment plan options with you over a phone call.
Is hair and makeup included?
Hair and makeup is included in all of our boudoir shoots! It’s really important for you to feel pampered, and having your hair and makeup done is a great way to do that! Our talented and experienced team can help you complete your look, whether that’s means Natural or Full on glam! You are in control of how you want to see yourself in photos.
Do you Photoshop my images?
Editing in Photoshop is included as part of our pricing and services. We edit out pimples, blemishes, bruises, scratches, fix uneven skin textures, redness and remove undereye circles. We never edit out anything that is permanent, unless you advise otherwise. We apply our own distinctive editing style to your images which will further emphasize your natural beauty. We want to help you look and feel your absolute best no matter your age or size.
What type of print products do you have?
We offer a variety of albums including our most popular Luxe Albums which include your choice of luxurious album covers that come in a gorgeous matching album box. Folio boxes of mounted and matted fine art prints are also popular keepsakes that you can take out and display or keep tucked away for your own private viewing.
Do you offer digitals?
Every print collection comes with the matching digital image.
I’m so nervous! How can I calm my nerves?
Most of our clients are nervous coming into their boudoir shoot. It is completely normal. We find that after we start shooting, most of our clients calm down when they realize how easy it is. Seeing those first few images on the back of the camera help you to see how awesome you look. After that, your confidence will shine and you’ll be relaxing to your favorite music and rocking your shoot.
What if I don't know how to pose?
I’ve got you! Posing you in flattering ways so you look your best is my job. I will pose you from the top of your head to the tips of your toes and will coach you through the perfect expressions. You don’t need to know how to do a thing.
Where is your studio located?
We are located in Spring City, PA which is about 20 minutes west of King of Prussia, just off of Route 422. Our studio is in the Spring City Mill Artist Studios building, which is a restored textile mill that is home to many other artists and creatives.
